ABOUT
As a Licensed Psychologist in the State of California since 1995, I bring a wealth of experience with individuals, families, and couples to my work. I have also been a Professor of Psychology for over 33 years and have been teaching Marriage Family Therapist students the latest in therapeutic interventions, especially in counseling sexual problems and couples therapy.
Relationships are the heart of our lives and bring a level of complexity and challenge to the therapy room. I enjoy this challenge and schedule my sessions from 90 to 120 minutes to allow us time to get down into issues and come out of them with more hope and direction. I also do intensive therapy sessions with couples that can be from 1-3 days, which allows for deeper and longer lasting change in a shorter period of time. This type of emotional and financial investment can take the place of many months of ongoing therapy.
I believe we all want connected and loving relationships, but most of us didn’t get guidance on how to make that happen. I’m inspired to help couples be free of the cycles that keep them trapped and unhappy.
My job is to provide the knowledge, skills, and guidance so couples can heal and co-create the kind of relationship they always longed for. Couple will bring their aspirations and motivation to the work. Together we will achieve more.

All well-trained relationship specialists seek to offer advice, feedback, observations, and homework to help your relationship evolve.
After graduating from college, it usually takes about five years of graduate school to get a Ph.D. in Psychology. It then requires an additional two years of supervision and passing a written (and often) an oral exam. There are a few states that allow psychologists to prescribe medications (with additional training) but that is uncommon.
Our professionals can guide you to clarify your individual goals as well as enable you to develop mutually agreed upon and supported relationship goals. - PSY 14437 California
